  • Your drawing is read as a specification. Every edge, opening, level and proportion is held where you drew it, and materials, light, surroundings and weather are added around them. What comes back is a photograph of that building.

  • No. Dimension strings, labels, level markers, north points, scale bars and title blocks are read as instructions and left out of the image. We tested this with a drawing carrying all of them: the materials the labels named were built, and no text was painted in.

  • No. No moved edges, no resized openings, no added storeys, and nothing added that the drawing does not show. Where the drawing leaves something undrawn, it is completed in the plainest way consistent with what is drawn.

  • Put a drawing through it and check three things: the geometry is still yours edge for edge, no pencil line or paper grain is left in the result, and any annotations were built as objects in the scene.

  • Elevations, perspectives and massing studies, of a building from outside or a space from inside. Hand drawings and CAD line work both go through, as long as the lines are legible.
